LIST OF EXHIBITORS AT THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE

Agam Energy System Ltd., specializing in 'energy wise' technological solutions, is developing a new generation of engines for the motor industry. Agam's car engine consumes a fifth of the petrol, emits a fifth of the CO2 fumes, and a tenth of the pollution of a standard car.

Bloomfield Science Museum Jerusalem is an informal cultural and educational institution that presents exhibitions consisting of interactive exhibits on subjects of science and technology, and integrates these exhibits into a context through a wide range of educational activities. Initiative and innovation have always been the Museum's hallmark. The Museum presents cutting edge science from research institutions in Israel.

Exhibit:  The organization has provided us with poster and a short movie about the work they do around the world.

Mihar Bio-Energy's plans to use Israel's Tamarisk trees as a biomass renewable energy source to replace coal. Bioenergy from energy crops is the most effective way to address Global Warming. This invention is about the cultivation of the Eshel tree (called Tamarix Aphylla Erect) or TE, as a stand-alone short-rotation crop. It will be used for the production of biomass, under high radiation and in a hot climate by using mostly saline, marginal, or otherwise unusable land and water resources.

Netafim
Website: http://www.netafim.com

New England-Israel Business Council - New England is home to approximately 100 Israeli-affiliated companies and more than 600 regional US companies that do business with Israel.  The NEIBC aims to build on these strong ties and increase economic development in Israel and New England by fostering cooperation, investment opportunities and business relationships.

Website: http://www.neibc.org
Exhibit:  This exhibit will focus on how the NEIBC fosters relationships between investors and the life science and clean technology entrepreneurs.

Rambam Medical Center is creating a new, independent research institute as the centerpiece of a-far-reaching and visionary project intended to integrate its commitment to medical research with its mission to care for the sick. The reshaping of the medical center's mission will influence biomedical research and patient care far into the future. Some of the research areas that already have been designated as priorities are Diabetes and Metabolic Health, including metabolic syndrome, Cardiovascular Health and Disease, Center for Clinical Translational Genetics and Pharmacogenomics, Autoimmune and Inflammatory Disease, Laboratory for Bone and Joint Repair and Regeneration, and Cancer Stem Cell Research Program.

Exhibit: This will be a heart technology exhibition with 3d mapping of
electrical activity of the heart.

South Area Solomon Schechter Day School - Dr. Nitzan Resnick, a former faculty member at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion and at Harvard Medical School, established a new science and math education initiative at the South Area Solomon Schechter Day School (SASSDS) that aims at promoting science and math education and bridges between schools and academia.  One of our projects is a collaborative science study done by 8th graders from SASSDS and 9th graders from Ironni Gimmel in Haifa. The project is supported academically by scientists from the Technion, Harvard and MIT. Exhibit: The exhibit will showcase this year's research topic, "Microbiology - New solutions to old problems" and it includes topics such as, new advances in the use of microorganisms in green fuel production, cleaning of pollutants, bio-pesticides and the development of new antibacterial reagents (natural and synthetic). This exhibit ties in a local day school with Technion, Harvard, and MIT.

Technion - Israel Institute of Technology -  Israel's prominence in the global technology industry can be largely credited to the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, home to Israel's innovative scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs and its Nobel laureates in science. Known as "Israel's MIT," the Technion has earned a worldwide reputation for its pioneering work in medicine, water management, nanotechnology, and biotechnology.

Exhibit:  The exhibit will feature actual robotic devices together with videos that will showcase the futuristic work being done at the Technion in the world of Medical Robotics.

SolarEdge is a provider of revolutionary Solar PV (photovoltaic) power harvesting and monitoring solutions for maximum energy at a lower cost. The company works with industry-leading partners to embed its active electronic solution directly into PV panels. Unlike centralized inverter architectures that cannot optimize the power of each panel, SolarEdge performs MPPT (a maximum power point tracker)  per panel while keeping the string voltage fixed, and communicating across existing power lines for granular visibility and control. As a result, the SolarEdge systemic approach provides more power from any given installation, eliminates design constraints, provides complete visibility, solves all safety issues, and provides anti-theft, all while reducing the cost of energy.

ZenithSolar is a startup company, focusing in the development of solar energy systems that transform solar energy into electrical and thermal energy simultaneously. The system provides high electrical output concurrently with heat at temperatures ranging from those associated with domestic hot water to those suited to process heat.

Website: http://www.zenithsolar.com

Exhibit: This will be a series of films demonstrating the companies’ products
